Our Redding visitation center is an accumulation of all that we have learned in working with families. The center is a supportive encouraging environment for children and the important people in their lives. The Center is the place where children and caregivers can relax in the company of each other, and to receive support in the development of additional parenting skills. The center also provides parenting classes. Classes are focused on the strengths and needs of individuals. Class subjects include topics such as; self-esteem, positive discipline, child development, and more.

Parenting Classes:

• Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 3:30 to 5:30pm
• Wednesday 4:00 - 6:00pm
• Participants need to attend only one class a week and will be given a certificate of completion after 16 sessions
• Childcare is provided

Other Services Provided:

• Provide an atmosphere that is respectful and compassionate
• Facilitate family visitation referrals from Shasta county
• Schedule supervised, monitored and unsupervised visits on and off site
• Provide visitation documentation
• Assess and review visit with family input
• Provide parent support during visits
• Provide healthy snacks and activities during visitations
• Encourage positive relationships between foster parents and birth parents
• Work on enhancing parenting skills through parenting classes
• Parenting instruction tailored to the needs of the individuals
