Supporting Foster Youth and Families
At Youth & Family Programs, our services are designed to meet the evolving needs of foster youth and families—from early placement through the transition into independent adulthood. We provide compassionate, community-based support across Shasta, Tehama, and Butte Counties, working closely with social workers, caregivers, and community partners to ensure every young person has the opportunity to thrive.
Our programs focus on creating stability, building life skills, strengthening family connections, and preparing youth for long-term success. Whether supporting foster families, guiding youth toward independence, or facilitating meaningful family interactions, our team is committed to making a lasting impact.
Foster Care Support
Youth & Family Programs provides comprehensive support for foster youth and the families who care for them. We offer training, resources, and ongoing guidance to help create safe, stable, and nurturing home environments.
From placement support to continued caregiver assistance, our foster care services are designed to strengthen families and promote positive outcomes for youth.
Transitional Housing
Our Transitional Housing program supports older youth and young adults as they prepare for independence. Through stable housing and personalized support, participants gain the tools and confidence needed to navigate adulthood successfully.
We focus on building essential life skills, promoting responsibility, and helping youth achieve their personal, educational, and career goals.
Independent Living Program (ILP)
The Independent Living Program (ILP) helps foster youth develop practical skills for everyday life. Through workshops, one-on-one guidance, and access to resources, youth learn about financial literacy, employment readiness, education planning, and more.
ILP empowers young people to build confidence and successfully transition into self-sufficient adulthood.
Family Visitation Services
Maintaining healthy family connections is an important part of the foster care journey. Youth & Family Programs provides structured, supportive visitation services that encourage positive interactions between youth and their families.
Our team helps create a safe and respectful environment where relationships can be maintained and strengthened.
A Continuum of Care for Youth and Families
Each of our programs is designed to work together as part of a larger continuum of care—supporting youth and families through every stage of the foster care experience. Whether you are a social worker seeking services, a foster parent looking for support, or a community member wanting to learn more, Youth & Family Programs is here to help.
